Mosaic Memory Care
Our Mosaic Memory Care Program at Cascade Living Group communities provides life-enriching memory support and care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Centered around Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach® to Care, we provide residents with a meaningful, purposeful lifestyle.
The Mosaic Differences.
With a belief that memory care should celebrate every resident’s personal story, we build relationships rooted in authenticity, encouragement and compassion. Residents are enabled and empowered because we draw on their distinct life experiences to find the most compassionate — and successful — ways to support them with our memory care program.
Focus on unique abilities, not on what is lost to dementia.
Adapt care to meet residents wherever they are on their journeys.
Homelike environments promote freedom, comfort and security.
Team trained in renowned Positive Approach® to Care.
Shared experiences: Family Education & Connection program.
Dining with dignity. Familiar, home-cooked meals served family-style.
Experienced, Positive Care Teams.
Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach® to Care training helps our teams recognize and respond to individual needs and desires, and to shift care focus as memory loss progresses. Our senior living memory care teams include licensed nurses and caregivers who support (and nurture) residents. Every associate is dedicated to helping each resident experience enhanced self-esteem and a meaningful sense of belonging — throughout every step of their journey.
Our Mosaic Memory Care Program is a tribute to the importance of memory — recognizing that each of us is made up of small, beautiful fragments of different life moments: events, experiences and accomplishments. And like a mosaic, memory is unique and precious. We celebrate this … which is why Mosaic memory care is carefully tailored to each resident’s specific needs.
Family Connections
Families are always welcome to join in an activity, have dinner with loved ones, or even come to us for support. Our Family Education & Connection program helps families better understand the condition and provides a great opportunity to meet and share experiences with others who care for a loved one with dementia.
“Rewiring our own perceptions, attitudes, communication strategies, actions and responses provides the shift that promotes change for the others around us.”
— Teepa Snow
Positive Care in Action.
Each day, our team works together to create positive days and peaceful nights for people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Through our Mosaic Memory Care Program, we:
- Recognize and frame challenging behaviors.
- Communicate from a place of empathy rather than judgment.
- Embrace better ways to connect — like the Positive Approach to Care® Hand Under Hand™ technique, which guides and assists in a way that feels friendly and soothing.
- Focus on the person, not the problem.
- Design meaningful activities.
- Keep it musical — familiar music touches emotions and elicits positive feelings.
