Beagle Dog with Senior Owner

Welcome to Pet Friendly Senior Living

There are many obvious benefits to owning a pet. Unconditional love and affection, for example. But there are other good (great) reasons to own a pet — especially as we age. For starters, the positive impact a four-legged bestie can have on health. And that’s why we not only accept pets; we welcome them gladly in our pet-friendly senior living communities.

Senior Living With Pets,
Good for Your Heart – and Beyond.

Turns out receiving unconditional love actually is good for your heart. No kidding. Pets can help lower blood pressure and increase physical activity, which both play in role in heart health. Other health benefits of pet-friendly senior living include:

Increased Exercise

Walking, grooming, or playing with a pet increases the frequency of physical activity and exercise.

Decreased Loneliness

Pets provide companionship and are a source of affection, conversation and activity.

Stress and Anxiety Relief

Spending time with a pet increases serotonin, the “feel-good” hormone that helps relieve stress. The physical contact that comes with hugging a pet also helps to calm anxiety.

Enhanced Self-Esteem

Pets remind us we are still capable of being loved and needed.

Sense of Purpose

Taking care of your pet and knowing it loves and needs you provides a sense of belonging and enhances mental well-being.

Make New Two-Legged Friends Easier.

Aside from the loyal companionship pets provide, owning a pet invites social interactions with humans as well. In other words, at our pet-friendly senior living communities, your pet can help you meet new two-legged friends, too! People are more likely to stop and comment or ask about our animal friends. Even in Cascade Living Group communities where making friends is already easy, our residents and staff often come together in a shared focus on a resident’s beloved pet or visiting therapy animal.

Your Family, Our Family.
community

Leaving your beloved pet behind is not an option with us. After all, they’re a member of your family, and we look forward to them becoming a member of ours, too! A one-time pet fee is required for those bringing pets.

The Smiles Say It All.

You don’t have to take our word for it to see the joy pets bring to our communities. Take a look at some residents and see for yourself how pets enhance life at Cascade Living Group communities.

Our Health and Safety Promise

Protecting our residents and team is a priority. Here’s how we do it.
