Education & Connection
Under the leadership of Shannon and Jane Farmer, our support group at Desert Hills has evolved into a meeting packed with presentations, information, questions and answers, networking and support. Jane Farmer is a certified support group facilitator through the Alzheimer’s Association, and Shannon Farmer is the Life Enrichment Director at Desert Hills and has her Master’s degree in Counseling. This mother-daughter team brings experience, knowledge and personal experience as Jane’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease a few years ago. Their passion is to educate those attending the meetings, as education is vital in coping with the disease and its effect on loved ones.

We had a great time at the Palm Desert Memory Walk on Saturday.
There were 10 Desert Hills Staff members, 3 residents family member... and 3 friends and family on our team. We raised over $1,000.00 total and had a lot of great contacts.– Shannon Eaton
